Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum
The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, a non-profit corporation, collects, preserves and displays examples of mechanical ingenuity and crafts associated with the early days of the American farm and rural community. The Museum offers educational and recreational opportunities to the public through exhibits, demonstrations, activities and programs displaying the art of invention fulfilling necessity.

Since 1976, our Museum has grown to become one of the premier educational and recreational facilities in North San Diego County. Our Museum's collection focuses on 1849 through the early 1960's era with exhibits that actively demonstrate early American life and technology. Unique from traditional Museums, our collection is maintained in operating condition and used during a wide range of events.

Below are a number of items to consider when visiting the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum.
Remember, these are helpful guidelines to keep visitors safe at our unique Museum.
While it may be tempting to touch and explore the 55-acres of incredible machinery and exhibits here at the Museum, we encourage visitors to refrain from sitting in, pulling levers, or climbing on machinery, automobiles, wagons, and other pieces of equipment located at the Museum.
Most of the fascinating machines you will see around the Museum are still operational and may cause injury to adult visitors, children and pets if sat on, climbed on or used inappropriately.

The Ignitor Ads consisting of text for antique equipment and parts are free ONLY to Members.
All other member and non-member ads are $200 for full page, $100 for half page, $50 for 1/4 page, and $25 for business card size ads per issue.
Six (6) pre-paid business card size ads may be purchased for the price of four (4).
All free ads will run for one issue only, unless renewed by member in writing.
The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and may be closed for major holidays.

Yes, I've never been to the venue before.
No, I've rented/attended an event here in the past.
We ask you to provide several dates for your event because we have multiple prior appointments that we cannot reschedule.
Below are the options that we currently have available for you to browse but if you are interested in something specific, contact our Education Coordinator and we'll see if we have any future classes that might work for you.
You can also come by on any Saturday and ask around to see if you can volunteer with an area you're interested in learning more about.
