Services
JC Woodworking has evolved from its humble beginnings in 1996 as a small, custom furniture business that started in our garage into a family-owned reclaimed wood and structures business located on 4 acres with a store, 8,000-square-foot pole barn and greenhouse.
The pole barn houses a large selection of antique flooring, siding, joists, beams and architectural items.
A wide selection of antiques, primitives and vintage treasures can be found in our store and our greenhouse.
Our furniture-making business grew out of love for both carpentry and history.
Weathered by time, wear and the elements, reclaimed antique wood has a unique beauty not found in newly-made building materials.
The patina found in antique building materials shows a depth and speaks of a history only time can create.
In addition to beauty, antique woods make any project a living piece of history.
The reclaimed woods available at JC Woodworking come from some of the oldest, most historical structures in American history.
Using reclaimed flooring, timber and siding is recycling at its best.
Brownboard may be installed horizontally or vertically and is a popular choice for application on exposed roofs and ceilings, rustic bars and counters and accent walls.
It can also be used for interior barn renovations such as loft flooring or den walls.
This material can be run horizontally or vertically.
If run horizontally, it must be milled to like widths, so you can create even rows when installing.
If run vertically, random widths can be used.
In either direction, milling the back is optional.
Did you know that Southeastern Pennsylvania happens to be home to "The Mushroom Capital of the World?"
There are two different processes for growing mushrooms - one requires lining the wood walls of mushroom houses with fabric on which the mushrooms grow.
The second process leaves the mushroom board walls uncovered.
Both processes allow the enzymes in the mushroom soil to eat away the surface of the wood, creating contours and variations in the wood and a very unique look which we refer to as Quaker Board or Mushroom Wood.
Reclaimed Barnwood Paneling is a milled, ready-to-install product that incorporates a mix of greys and browns, sawn and weathered barn boards in random lengths and widths.
It is kiln dried and run with a shiplap.
Contractors and homeowners love this product because of its quick and easy installation and because waste is minimal.
Shiplapped Barnwood Paneling may be installed horizontally or vertically and is perfect for use as exterior siding and for interior walls and ceilings.
For smaller projects, such as accent walls, we offer pre-bundled, ready-to-purchase 20 sq.
